The COVID Symptom Study
for School Communities

The COVID Symptom Study for School Communities will allow parents to report COVID symptoms and tests on behalf of their children, giving parents with children in the same school/bubble insights and alerts on the COVID status of the school community most relevant to them.

How it works

Parents are prompted to take 1 minute a day to report any symptoms and COVID tests on behalf of their children via our app. See more here.

All symptom and test reports
for children are collected anonymously and aggregated
by their School and Bubble.

Schools and parents receive daily updates of the COVID status of their child’s School and Bubble. Schools also receive immediate email alerts from us for positive test cases.

The benefits of this feature

To the school

Schools receive daily COVID insights for their students and local area that enables more informed and rapid decision-making.

To children

The community provides an added layer of protection for children against COVID through mutual sharing of information, allowing them
to complete their education safely.

To parents

Parents receive daily COVID insights for the school community most relevant to them so that they can be reassured that they are making informed choices about their children’s education.

To the public

The data will enable critical national scientific research into the impact of COVID on children
and younger people.
